‘OPINIONS
OF THE PRESS ON KISSING.
A lady
friend in Goulburn has transmitted the following 'Opinions of the Press” upon
the subject of the test which tells you Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his
voice and wept:-
If Rachel
was a pretty girl, and kept her face, we can't see what Jacob had to cry about—

How do you
know but that she slapped his face for him.-Protestant Standard’.
Weeping is
not unfrequently produced by extreme pleasure, joy, happiness, it might have
been in Jacobs’s case. — Freeman's Journal.

opinion that Jacob wept because he found after all it was not half what it was cracked

Very likely
a curious mosquito had found its way in to the small of his back—Carrier's
