‘OPINIONS OF THE PRESS ON KISSING.

A lady friend in Goulburn has transmitted the following 'Opinions of the Press” upon the subject of the test which tells you Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept:-

If Rachel was a pretty girl, and kept her face, we can't see what Jacob had to cry about— Sydney Daily Telegraph.

How do you know but that she slapped his face for him.-Protestant Standard’.

Weeping is not unfrequently produced by extreme pleasure, joy, happiness, it might have been in Jacobs’s case. — Freeman's Journal.

The cause of Jacob's weeping was the refusal of Rachel to allow him to kiss her again.—Burrangong Argus.

We reckon Jacob cried Because Rachel had been eating onions –S M Herald.'

Our own opinion that Jacob wept because he found after all it was not half what it was cracked op to be. — Albury Banner.

Our own opinion Rachel did not clean her teeth, and this disgusted Jacob that he cried with bitter disappointment at the fact. Wilcannia Times.

Jacob kissed -Rachel, and then, wept because she was troubled with catarrh, and neglected to bring a clean handkerchief. — Cootamundra Herald.

Very likely a curious mosquito had found its way in to the small of his back—Carrier's Monthly.

Jacob wept because it suddenly dawned upon on him that he had rendered himself liable for breach of promise of marriage.--Campbelltown Herald.
