LONG — SCHNEIDER. —

On June 30, at St. Carthage's, by Rev. Father Minnis, GARRAD LONG, of Tatham, to HELEN, fourth daughter of Francis Schneider, of Gundurimba.

MRS. GARRET LONG

Following an illness of only several hours duration, the death occurred early on Saturday morning, of Mrs. Garret Long, aged 63 years, a well-known resident of Tatham.  

The late Mrs. Long was born on the Williams River, and had resided in the Casino district for half a century. 

The deceased is survived by a husband and a grown-up family, members of which are: Mrs J. Elliott (Murwillumbah), Mrs. E. O'Hare (Casino), Mrs. Attwell (Tatham), Misses Margaret and Florence Long (Tatham), Messrs. Garret and Frank (Coraki) and William Long (Tatham).

Messrs. F. Schneider (Backmede), and Michael Schneider (Lismore), are brothers of the deceased, and Mrs B. Murphy and Mrs. O'Leary (Lismore), Mrs. Muldoon and Mrs. Dixon (Gundurimba), are sisters.


The funeral took place at Casino yesterday, the remains being laid to rest in the Roman Catholic portion of the Casino Cemetery, where the Ven. Archpriest Barry officiated.
