Mr. William Leathem serious sulky accident Friday, 4 August 1911

 Molong Argus (NSW: 1896 - 1921), Friday, 4 August 1911

We regret to state that Mr. William Leathem met with a somewhat serious accident on Sunday afternoon last.
It appears he was driving in a sulky when one of the wheels struck a stump, pitching Mr. Leathem out, his left shoulder striking the ground with such terrific force as to cause a bad dislocation; the side of his face was also severely bruised.
The sufferer was at once conveyed to town for surgical treatment. Owing to the excruciating pain, the sufferer had to be put under chloroform before the dislocation could be remedied. It will be some weeks before the "comp" will be able to handle the "stick" again.
